• represents German neuroscience at the International Brain Research Organization (IBRO)
• is a founding member of the Federation of European Neuroscience Societies (FENS)
• has nomination rights for the election of reviewing panels of the German Research Council (DFG)
• collaborates with Tierversuche Verstehen e.V. (TVV)
• acts jointly with the Leopoldina
• is a member of the German Brain Council (GBC)
